Hey,

does anybody have a carfax account?

Why don't you just get a Carfax account? Requesting a fellow forum member to provide this information to you is asking them to break their legal agreement with Carfax for furnishing reports to other parties. Fundamentally dishonest. If you want the service, pay them for it and don't try to steal it.

I don't understand why the forum moderators don't close these threads.

MichaelL because this is a community and people help one another.

Forums have a personal touch to them, regardless of all of us talking through a computer.

If the moderators deemed this thread against their OWN policy, then they're more than welcome to close it.
