I was reading about melted housings and 'burnt' wireing. Just read a bad story about an Audi in Florida who cooked the bumper on a hot night stuck in traffic. Think I'll be holding off on the 'fog-mod's' until further notice - but the sidemarker bulbs are on their way.

 

yes i had a set of color bulb on my clear years ago and it got so hot it melted my corners id becareful ,they get hot too hot!

They key is installing the right bulb for the right housing. Never install a hotter bulb in a Porsche low beam or in case of the turbo the LED cluster. The LED cluster bulb is already coated to a small degree, changing it will cause issues as the housing is too small and heat cant escape like what happened to Atomics led assembly.

Swapping out fogs, clear sidemarker or license plate etc. is fine so long as the bulb has the same power rating.

 

Exactly. I have heard the Hoen is good but I have yet to try them myself.
