EVOMS 997TT 610 kit

I'm looking for from feedback from anyone who has actually installed this kit as I'm interested in it myself. Heat issues on the track? Stock clutch, ok? Stock suspension, ok? Any info would be great! The 610 kit seems to have got lost in the EVO700 kit news.
Thanks!
K.

Hey Kafka997,

We've been doing these since November of 06 and to-date nobody yet has required an upgraded clutch (unless they've upgraded to the EVT700). The power-levels are obviously slightly different between 91v 93 octane tunes but so far so good on the clutch reports (assuming you don't go drag racing etc...). We have a good few people that track as well and again the ICs obviously help with temps as well.

If you're going to track the car and do so a lot I'd suggest some mods in that department. Bilstein PASM Coil Overs, H&R sway bars and possibly some control arms (to get rid of the rubber) and a much-improved alignment. You'll be far happier that way.

Thanks

Thanks Sharkster for the prompt reply from the voice of experience. It has been highly recommended that I put the ceramic coating on the headers but coating the ICs get mixed comments. I try to get on the track about a dozen times a year and have a healthy respect for reducing heat (and adding longevity to the stock turbos). Do you folks coat your ICs?

I drive in the winter as well (just can't put it away!) and wonder about the impact of the increased TQ at lower rpms on snow and sometimes icy driving conditions.

Again, thanks for your advice.
K.

Pretty much all of the cars we build see street and track time so because of that (and since we do get rain here) I tend to avoid ceramic coating on headers (when mixed with puddles/heat etc.) as it can lead to cracking/stress. The SWAIN coating on intercoolers can be done and if you intend on spending a lot of time out there it's not much more to do. However, none of the NorCal guys have requested it.

evo kit is great and works just fine. I would upgrade clutch to at least stage 2 or 3. I ugraded mine to evo stage 3 because stock was starting to slip at high rpms. no suspension mods needed although sway bars are nice to have.

Just about sold

This info has just about convinced me to go for the EVO kit (not to knock other reputable kits). I've only heard very good things about it. The 700 is bit over the top for me, so the the 610/620 seems a perfect mod for me and my driving needs and style. And I agree, from previous cars I've added mods to, some "extras" to better accommodate the extra power make complete sense. Suspension seems almost essential to keep the car balanced as it rockets around. Clutch, maybe later. Just waiting to get a bit closer to the end of my warranty and I'll make the move.
Sharkwerks has so many satisfied customer, you can't but help listening to their advice.

I have that Evoms kit and if I use race fuel and race program the clutch slips all the time.
I will upgrade to ST II next week.

Someone who actually has the kit! Cool. Did you have Stage 1 clutch and it wasn't enough or are moving from stock clutch? Hopefully Stage 2 will be smooth & quiet on the street. Let us know the changes when you get it installed.
