As much as I love the GTR's performance, the 997 TT is not that far behind:

So, in essence, 997TT in a heartbeat. GTR is just way too damn fugly for me, and it's interior is even worse. Looks like some kind of computer game in there. My friend's got one and it's got way too many gizmos. I hope Porsche does NOT go this route.

I think a lot of people are getting caught up in the mag hype as usual but are forgetting that for most intents and purposes (I.E. straight line) the 997 TT is faster. Considering that some 5% of even sports cars ever go to a track. Also even less than 5% of the time most spend in their sports cars is at the rack. So 95% of the time, the TT is always going to be faster, and the other 5% is driver dependant. Frankly, I like those odds along with the durability of a Porsche.

GTR has its place - but I'd NEVER want one. But A CGT, GT3, or GT2 - in a heartbeat!
