I see...you are going to smoke SLR easily...we have tried many times here...no chance in 1/4...pull away slowly over chipped 997 TT only after 120...if its tuned then its another story...

You can put bigger pulley, add headers and ECU and you will be close to 700 HP on pump and around 720 on 100...That is another story...by 180 you dont see chipped 997 TT in rear mirrors...runs even with ENZO...

I didnt get the SLR to win drag races, its in a completely different league than any modified 911 turbo. It's an engineering marvel. Even so, I will probably do the 740 hp, 735 lbs of torque Renntech upgrades on the SLR, once I have gotten completely used to it stock.

Dont think Rennetch is your best solution...it think Tym can help you out with headers and pullies and ECU can be done by VRP they work with Powerchip...they will dyno tune you car to make most power..no just upload ready to go file...

SLR we have here is 1st one which was tuned...done by Oliver Evotech, this guy used to do all porgramming for Rennetch...so Renntech has his package...it made 724 crank HP on 100 and 870 or so Torgues...they also re-inforced the box...added extra clutch pack...I can tell you a lot about MB tuning...used to have 680 HP E55...

Here is the run with that tuned SLR (he got bad launch):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1-0VKZrYcU

Passed like I was standing still...very fast at high speeds...but not faster then tuned TT...it just a different car...

The rear wheels broke loose briefly as the fronts desperately tried to grab. I was easily able to steer through it and keep the car straight all the way up to 124 mph, before feeling that I needed to slow down. I looked down at the Vbox display and stared in disbelief. The times were as follows:

0-10 0.2
0-20 0.6
0-30 1.0
0-40 1.4
0-50 1.9
0-60 2.4
0-70 3.0
0-80 4.1
0-90 5.0
0-100 5.9

Below are some pictures of the Vbox display after that run. I headed home to grab some breakfast and to put a little more fuel in the car....

Michael, thats cool that you had a modified E55, I bet that thing was ultra fast for a 4 door sedan. I am going to stick with Renntech as my Mercedes dealership gives me no hassles with any warranty issues. This is a lot more important on an SLR than any other Mercedes. Also I have had 2 other Renntech upgraded cars, SL600 and SL65, and had great results with it. I am not looking to get every last drop of performance out of the SLR, I just want to wake it up nicely.

I am going to give her to Tym in a few weeks, after I get some interior mods done. Since its starting to get cold here etc...I will just let Tym have her for the winter and make sure she is ready for the spring! Also I just sold my Stage 5 RT E55 and I agree about the dealerships not hassling. I had numerous warranty work done. I also had Tym do some extra exhaust mods to my E in addition to the RT stage5 mods...ask him about that...pretty sweet stuff!

I highly doubt it, especially the 0-60mph in 2.4.

IMO, unless you are going to do a higher hp application than 600hp to the wheels, you should definitely stick to a tip.

From a stop the Sledgehammer wont catch the Tip car (if you brake boost) until over 100mph. From any roll the Sledgehammer will win.
