That sucks to hear, Chris. It's like driving an obstacle course around here.

After spending a week driving in Germany I get depressed every time I drive now LOL.

What do you mean about "NYC-MTA and NYPD/FD have immunity from any claims"?

OOOOH NOOOO! Chris, I am so very sorry. That is just awful - I'd be sick. I am sure they will get it looking like new again.

For ex, if a nypd squad car hits your car while chasing a suspect they will only be liable to reimburse you the deductable, the rest is on your insurance co. Furthermore, you can't persue any remedy against them no matter what kind of car, the damage/injury was caused. This was done during the dinkens admin I believe, also part of the reason insurance is mandated for all nys drivers. Stupid statute.

not a problem-the kind of damage to your car will never diminish it's value-plus you are driving your car as a daily driver-once it is fixed, it doesn't matter anyways. nyc is a screwed up place to drive-you have no choice-i never take my porsche into the city. when i drove it home from manhattan motorcars, i was nervous. there are a lot of people driving there who just don't care, i was driving a jeep to shea stadium when i was rear ended by some ****roach driving his car. when i walked over to him and asked him why he hit me, he told me that his brakes didn't work, and he had no money to fix them. he repeated the same thing to the nyc cop who responded-he gave him a reckless driving ticket, but i am sure that this roach is still victomizing others. my wife had a yellow boxster-in 2 years she was hit by 3 different people, the last a 17 year old girl who was out for the first time in mommy's car, cell phone in hand-she t-boned my wife and finally destroyed her car-thanx to the boxster, my wife was unhurt. society is loaded with these parasites. and a far bigger problem-how about the legion of drunk drivers who are killing people daily with their cars-then when they wind up in court, they show up with their priests/ministers/rabbis crying about how the defendents are good people who didn't really want to kill that mother and child, then the defendent will get on the stand and start sobbing about how they didn't mean it, and they shouldn't be held responsible, and then the court system will inevitably release them with either little or no jail time, despite the fact that they caused the death of someone's entire family. i have had this happen to 2 families that i take care of. society seems to divorce people of their responsibilities while driving-and we all have to deal with the problems that these irresponsible people cause the rest of us.

Good luck with the repairs TT. As some one who helped me (and I am sure others) so much, you deserve the best.

All things considered; the time you've been driving these sleds in NYC, the timing of the hit (3 seconds earlier and it would have been a lot of metal work).
I 2nd the idea of getting an aftermarket bumper kit and repair and store the damaged one.
Glad it's an easy fix.
