painted rockker panels
painted rockker panels
Hullo
I am looking to replace the front/rear spoiler, and the rocker panels because they are little scufded up. i was thinking about getting them all painted while i am installing ones. 2 questions, 1) what do you guys think of all the spoilers and rocker panels painted, i have never seen one in person, think it will look better then the black ones. 2) does the rocker panel have the texture paint like the botttom of the door sill (like i currently have, or when the painted rocker panel is opted from the factory , the door sill part is smooth and the plastic part is textured)
thanks

thanks ,i see the diff nowit looks nice but , 130 verses 300 each hmm . were they painted smooth or with texture like the one above the rocker panel (there is a textured strip/orange peel on the sill , like the one in the pic) . I know gee had is painted smooth.
the only problem is my regular oem panels just arrived , now if i change i have to ship them back, and pay shipping for the new ones . ahhh

I have them on mine and love the way it makes mine look a bit more aggressive than the standard rockers. They're smooth with a slight texture which will be covered up when painted so it does look and feel smooth.
thanks
If you look closely at the rocker panel you can see the rubber flap in the back. I believe you probably won't have to re-use any hardware but it does come with everything you need. All you need to do is get it painted.
You can purchase them primed or un-primed
Either way remove the seal flap before painting
Take a look at the new one's and they they pop in will help remove your std rockers, There is a screw that you have to losen the splash guard to get at...
I have a new set in my closet for my Cab4S that is order, P get's 750.00 for standard rockers painted, Iam at 625.00 plus 150.00 for paint
I did find three new TT lips on ebay new in the box for 150.00 total and had those painted also as spares, I am going to have my film m do all in three weeks after the paint cures

i ordered my 09 with all the lowers painted and love the look, much better than black. are you saying you can order a new front lip for $150? i ask as i may need to replace mine in a few months from scraping. i plan on ordering one of the new front air lifters when they are available.
Oh those look so great - I would love to add those to my car but since I use mine as a daily driver am concerned the white will get too scratched up. Every once in awhile a driveway or something catches me off guard and my front does a slight scrape because it is so low. They look really great painted thought.
Sunset Porsche sells those lips for about $130 but they're unpainted. You'd still have to get them painted. I had the front, rear, and side skirts all covered with clear bra (ventureshield) so that protects it against rock chips, most of the scrapes, etc. Couldn't be more satisfied with the overall look.
I had the spoiler, rockers and rear valance painted at build. My sled is solid black and when painted this way it looks soooo much better. In any color it give the sled a lower, sleeker, contiguous stance.
You're going to love it!
