I remember talking to Greg@RSS a while back and I believe they are working on an option to go with a larger TB and their plenum. Might want to check with him.

Just recently saw a Y pipe at RSS but found out that it was for a 997TT not a 996TT. It is designed for a better air flow & better diversion for air, much larger inlets, looks like factory, fits bolt on without any modifications, and is one piece cast aluminum. This Y pipe will fit stock TB/large TB or IPD plenum or IPD competion 82mm plenum. They are waiting for some more data, soon to be released. You may want to check out Greg at RSS.

IPD 997 Turbo Y Pipe

Yes, the rumors are true. IPD has developed a completely revised "Y" Pipe for the 997 Turbo. This hot of the press piece, features many changes over the factory Y Pipe. The pipe is cast of aluminum and will provide optimized intake air flow and greater air flow efficiency. Now begins the testing and evaluations, but so far the two "test mule" customer are VERY reluctant to remove their IPD Y Pipes from their cars.

Stay tuned for more details from RSS and IPD.

Happy Holidays!

You guys will be extremely happy with this addition. I have gone thru 4 different set ups with my car and with larger Y pipe, TB, and IPD plenum, it does make a hell of a difference. Give Greg at RSS a call, he is a stand up guy and he will take care of you. Please be informed that I build my own cars and I am not working for anyone, fyi.
Happy New Year

Happy New Year guys!

I have seen the y-pipe, Very nice. Especially if you have the t-body and plenum! If you were to get some intercoolers you would have an awesome flowing intake that is bolt-on and almost looks stock!

yalmutawa, The plenums (IPD) are the same. EVOMS sells there's in black giving it there custom touch. By the way I got the EVOMS intercoolers and they are awesome!

I am one of the test mules... I have the 82mm TB, the Y pipe, and the IPD plenum. Since my car is a tip I am having some trouble finding a dyno shop than can accomodate. But with that being said the seat of the pants dyno is telling me this combo is a great improvement. I have had the Y pipe on for over a month so the placebo effect has worn off in relation to justifying the mod.

With the tip I found that I would lose much effective power at higher speeds due the the AWD/Auto box DT loss--- with this combo the car is much stronger not only in the mid but up top. Clearly the IPD plenum shows its best gains in the mid range but Im finding with the Y pipe and 82mm that speeds from 130 to 160 and beyond dont take as long to reach.
