997 TT alignment specs TRACK/STREET
I installed KW HLS coil overs, adj control arms, toe links, end links etc to the suspension and I use the car 30% track 70% highway and I want to know if you guys can give me some TOE/CAMBER specs.
My tuner has suggested to me, and from what I could read, the setting is front toe out to improve turn in response, and rear toe in to reduce oversteer.
One set of number I've seen is minus 2 toe out in front, and plus 4 toe in in the rear. Please check for accuracy and how appropriate this is in relation to the rest of your alignment settings though.
This is going to be my next experiment; would be interested in your impression.

I got my toe specs. My car is set at minus 2 out in the front and plus 2 in at the rear.
Can,
What is your car set up at? Happy new year BTW.

My car is still stock all around except for the front camber of -1.3; this is basically the GT3 street spec that eclou "introduced" a long time ago.
My tuner has suggested what sounds to me like toe adjustment as the next step. He hasn't done it yet because he likes me (basically beginner-level driver
) to take time getting used to each step before graduating to the next adjustment.
The toe setting (minus 2 front toe out, plus 4 rear) I mentioned is what I saw "randomly" on a rennlist member's GT3, and a rennteam member's Turbo, as set up by an apparently good tuner in England. http://www.rennteam.com/forum/thread...e3.html#481690.
I have not done much "asking around" on this yet. Who suggested those toe setting to you? Stuttgart?
OT: I found a few pictures I took of your car at the Irvice C&C. Nothing spectacular because of the poor lighting and environment, but at least it's something. Would you please PM me your email so I can send it to you?
Have a healthy and properous New Year!

Tow out in front will make the car turn in on the track but it can also make the ca very twitchy on the highway for street driving or at high speeds. zero toe in front might work better for 30% track and the rest street.
The alignment should really be based on the track you drive but for just a basic general performance type of alignment I'd go with all the recomendations I have received and stick with zero toes up front and a touch (around .10-14) negitive toe in the rear and keep the camber between the front andr ear with in .4 of each other.

Very good conversion calculator for toe settings (save this one!):

Not enough rear camber, stock mine was -1.6. Otherwise looks ok, I'd have a really good race shop go through the whole thing for you, individual numbers mean nothing, it's the total setup. That's why I ended up going to FL, expensive but worth it.
