I would have been irate if I were you, I would have probably tossed him off the car and ainto his friends camera. But that would have opened up the doors for lawsuit and all, so glad you didnt.

Similar thing happened to me, and here's my story:

I went to a bar in my college's town over the summer. I drove and parked right outfront in the meters. When I came outside I saw some ****** just sitting on my rear fender. I was like wtf, I give him a look and unlocked my car and he gets right off. No real communication necessary. But then again it was my E46 M3, not a 997tt. I don't think I will park a 997tt anywhere where drunkies can be near it. Even though a few weeks after I saw a F430 spyder parked there, two spots up.

Sorry to hear that happened to you...it happens everywhere. You did the right thing, I hope you hurt him. The problem is most people outside a car forum wont understand your point of view. Ignorance.

i would have killed him and his friend. then i would have checked their DLs and found out where they lived. then i would go and kill their whole families.

of course i am kidding. but i would use force after he refused to get off. to me it is not the car. it is the hard work it took to buy it. you gave up your time, a little piece of your life for it. it is not only disrespect for the car, but disrespect for you.

i would not sit or lean on ANY car. no matter what it is.

Hi,

its a difficult call. Ideally have a look for damage/scratches, and if any call the police so that the damage is noted and paid for.

If it was a cute female, then politely ask to remove the offending jeans that would potentially scratch the car, and armed with your camera ask her to carry on hehe !.

If you decide that force is needed, be very sure you want to go down that route. My experience over the years is that most people cant fight, so it becomes laughable and for all concerned. With that said never underestimate anyone you might be prepared to take on.

The reality is, its not worth it. A stumble, head bang on the pavement, then life changes in that instant for everyone.

Rgds.

in my opinion:

1. This guy was clearly out of line, and his behavior would infuriate most of us car enthusiasts.

2. You warned him, and then used the necessary force to remove him from your vehicle.

3. I'm glad that you taught this guy a lesson, as he clearly deserved it.

4. I'm even more glad, that you were able to do this without any negative repercussions.

That all being said, it's still hard to recommend this route of action to someone you like and don't want getting into unnecessary trouble.

i would too be upset. however with that said when you have a hot ride people notice and want to be part or should i say feel the vibe. if there is no damage no problem just remember how fortunate you are we all are to have what so many dream of. while enjoying my voda rocks as i took the first sip i am sure i would smile and thank the lord for blessing me with such a great ride glad you made it home safe

when i used to live inlondon it was fairly often that u would see someone sitting on a supercar to take a pic. Once i saw someone sitting on the wing on a Ferrari F50 which is made out of carbon fibre i think. Not even my car, and i told the guy to get the f*** off the car.

People have no respect for other peoples cars.

U cant even park your car on the street here without someone smashing into u.

But that said i have only parked my car around 5 times on the street because im worried about it getting bumped..

I had a similar experience once, I parked my car in front of a hotel... and these people without any idea what a 997TT was just leaned against it thinking its a Nissan Z car or something! I had my dad's chauffeur told them off! I solved their lack of knowledge of what the Porsche is with the muffler bypass!

I feel for you....I get mad when people walk near my car...on the other hand, I've seen worse. My family lives in Monaco so im there every summer...this summer a mother had her two kids sit on the hood of a carrera gt to take pictures, nothing pissed me off inside more than that because I care about my stupid car and here some disrespectful person is sitting on a half million dollar car, some people dont get it.

I am sorry to hear that. I would have most likely would have gotten violent with the guy especially if he disregarded my first comment of "get off my car". I don't think the spoilers are designed to handle that weight. What disrespect; and nerve to do such a thing in front of so many people. He must have been intoxicated!

South Beach is pretty crazy. I love the Coral Gables area (architecture, culture, etc.); they have some nice affluent neighborhoods; it would be nice to relocate there someday!!!

Cheers!

People are crazy. I walked out of Houstons once to find a whole group of tourist who put their food containers on the rear deck lid of my CGT so they could stand in front of it and take a picture. Thank God the Valet guy lost it so I didnt have to be an ***.
