Should I wait for the new 997 2010?
Hi guys,
I'm so confused about waiting and getting the new 2010 997 with PDK or buying a 2007 997 with a pretty good price in this market...Will the 2010 version will be a lot better then the older version???
Thanks for any advice or input.

The 997 is already available as MY2009 with PDK but I assume you are asking about the 997TT. The MY2010 997TT has not been officially announced but will likely receive a new engine, a modest power bump, PDK, LED taillights, and a modestly revised front bumper.
The current engine is proven reliable to at least 700 HP. The new engine will likely be good but is still unproven and will probably not be able to accommodate as much additional power as the current engine.
The PCM was updated in MY2009 and it is doubtful the 2010 will have significant interior changes. Personally, I would not wait.

Great deals can be had on 07, 08 and even 09 TT's. Trust me when I tell you these cars are amazing....find one with the specs you want and negotiate a deal, these are great times to be a buyer, who knows where the economy will be a year from now.
I d wait for the PDK.Its a gearbox the car like 997TT should have nowdays. You could see how much imporve it done to carrera models.
The only thing to worry is if the new DFI engine used, many of those aftermarket parts in market now may not fit the new TT anymore. So if you want a jump you might have to wait months or maybe 1 year for performance kit to release for the new TT.

Just came back from a test drive of the 997 C2S w/ PDK and the salesman told me the PDK will be available either this spring or summer in the Turbo, still as an '09. I guess they will just release the PDK as an option sometime this year.
Your salesman is just guessing.
