you all should be glad you do not live in Austin, TX
i have never seen worse drivers, i mean NEVER!!!!
I don't think cops here should be allowed to drive, no one knows how to take a corner, keep in their lane, maintain the speed limit (they drive about 15mph under!)...
i don't want to get started here...

I used to be the same way with my cars. Always parking away from everyone else or as far back as possible. Now I realize it's just a car and things inevitably happen. There's nothing you can do about it.
That doesn't mean I don't treat them accordingly myself though. I'll always take care of my own items, as well as others that I'm around.

I feel that drivers exams ought to be more difficult to pass . This business of handing out licences to people with driving skills that pose risks to themselves and others on the road has got to change . Make them learn how to drive and follow rules or fail them and they can take the bus .
Whats scarier is the number of people that FAIL these tests! To top it off, their sense of entitlement to drive after they "pass" knows no bounds.

One thing that cops REALLY need to start writing tickets for is for failing to keep right. "Slower traffic keep right" is also a law - why do all "safe" drivers decide to ignore that one? I'm a nice guy but I have absolutely no problems cutting you off rudely if you're slowing me down on the left lane after I clearly gave you the time, and opportunity to the right lane where you belong.

But yea.. shouldn't get started - I'm preaching to the choir here...

I also think anyone 60+ should be required to pass an on-road drivers exam every 5 years to ensure they're still fit to drive and include a "field of view" test. And they should be restricted to the right lane.

This is quite ironic though:
The people who once drove unsafe cars recklessly in their youth when they had their entire lives ahead of them - are now driving these big boats to keep themselves safe and do 55 on the left lane?

Growing old must suck bad !

I think you should drive the 911 TT like they do in Germany. They just park them anywhere - the assumption is that they are to be driven...it's not a 959!
