I've taken the belt and suspenders approach and have the V-1 hard wired up by the mirror and the Escort 9500Ci mounted in a custom built panel in front of the shifter.

My experience to date confirms the V-1 is much more sensitive than the Escort and the arrows are very useful in locating the threats. The V-1, however, is useless for Laser, because it has no shifting capability, and because it is so sensitive it becomes annoying in town with all the alerts it produces. The Escort with its' "learning" capability can screen out most of the false alerts and is no where near as annoying.

Instant on radar/laser guns are a threat neither unit is good at countering. I find the best way too mitigate those threats is to employ a decoy/rabbit to run interference in front of you. Let him "light up" the radars and get the ticket. I usually have no trouble in goading somebody into wanting to show me how fast a driver they are.

The Laser Star laser jammer is also a POS which failed miserably that somebody mentioned in this thread.

I'm using the laser star for over a year now and i can say that it saved my a** several times,

it never gave me a false alert, i never pased from a laser gun without geting a warning from it, and i have front pro parking sensors.

I'll post some pics of the descret fitment on my tt which was made from my dealer, (laser jammer is not aloud in Cyprus )

check out some real life tests of the laser star vs several laser guns

Those are not real life tests because the people that sell them are shady.

Read about the jackass that sells them here.
