Car gurgling and then dying.

Got my car back, still need to align it after all the suspesnion work. But it seems to gurgle and the engine dies everytime im in neutral. This started happening after I put on my evoms headers on although my bodyshop said it was a leak so they replaced some small part on the headers which they said made it fine. Now I put on the Plenum and it even worse now, really hard to keep the engine alive. Any ideas on whats going on?

I think the plenum install might be at fault, check all the vacuum lines and hoses.

Do you have a light weight fly-wheel? That can make the car idle rough & seem "out of sorts" at low idle.

Sonds like a bad plenum install. Have them re-check the hoses and clamps for any leaks. Make sure they tighten the bolts down completely on the headers also.

I know this is not related to your new mods but gurgling is usually associated with the oil system and tank. Could you be having low oil pressure? Just a thought.

Did you install it yourself bro? Try and fit back the old plenum and see if it gets better and go from there. From my understanding, if you have the header leak, it is not the reason why the engine is shutting.
Question, when you are in neutral, does that mean when you depress the clutch? or when you put it 'between the gears'?

its a competiton plenum from BBI so does that mean the ECU must be put it to make the car function properly?

Sratha No I didnt intall it myself I went to a local body shop Advanced motor sports. Any time Im in neutral it will gurgle and then the engine will die.
