Also (as a psychologist) I know that research has shown that the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.

Also tragic is the presumption of guilt set forth in this forum regarding the owner of the car. Presumption of innocence is a fundamental right in most democracies. I think we should all be careful about assuming someone is guilty just because the few facts at our disposal MIGHT indicate so.
Remember, people convicted of murder and on death row have been completely exonerated by modern DNA technology.

My hope is that the guilty party will be brought to trial soon. Then we may know.
The STATE has a presumption of innocence...you wanna play some game and dance around the evidence we are seeing, that is your right... WE are allowed to jump to conclusions if we want, just as you can pretend that the guilty party is somewhere out there and we hope he or she is found. Indeed, OJ is still looking for the persons guilt for the murder of his wife and Ron Goldman.

I would not jump to that conclusion, I bet his parents already assembled a team of lawyers and are currently mailing out diamonds to the judges. What I think will happen is he will stay in jail for a bit, when the bs dies down he will be released.
Will this man slaughter make him change his way of life? I highly doubt it, pretty soon he will be back on the street in the 998 turbo

I am saddened by the deaths of the two british folks - condolences to their families and friends.

I am afraid that in the U.S. now we have a 2-tiered criminial justice system: one for the very wealthy and the other for the rest of us. I cannot believe that this fellow he was not punished more severely for what he had done in the past. But hey - look at Bernie Madoff - he has destroyed thousands of peoples lives, as well as charities, and he is not in jail.

The 2-tiered criminal justice system you speak of doesn't only exist in the U.S.A. but pretty much every where else in the world.
It's a shame.. money talks.

"LeVin was ordered to attend drug treatment a second time following a 2006 incident in which he ran over a police officer and instigated a high-speed chase on the Kennedy Expressway. Authorities found a small bag of cocaine in the car."

wow... what a jackass. My condoleances to the families of the victims.

If they can prove who was driving via the dna on the air bag at least the families will know who is the real guilty person.

Spent 10-12-14 hours in bars/strip clubs? How did either one of them know who was driving what; and didn't the valet at the 1:30 AM restaurant/bar already testify that Levin was the one who left in the Porsche? This story is a long way from the final resolution.

The story just keeps changing all the time. I'm sure it's just that the police have been very selective about what they are releasing. I hope the tests can put a driver behind the wheel and have a chance to actually prosecute someone. If they can't find this other guy I wouldn't doubt the Levin family gave this guy a chunk of cash to disappear and putting the case on hold for a long time until he eventually slips up and is caught.
