Question need help with wheels and tires

I plan on tracking my car for the first time in March. I would like to get a set of wheels an tires just for track use. I was thinking about puting my track tires on my stock rims and gettting a set of aftermarkets for the street. I don't want to spend too much on the new set. My limit that I would like to stay under is about $5-$6K. Please help me out on this.

Well for your street wheels I would go with the HRE Monoblock. Do the Flat Black P40's or the Textured Black P43's like I have. If you want to be fashionable, 1 up to 20" in the P40 brushed. Put track tires like the Toyo R888 or Michelin Cups on your stockers. Stockers are great for the weekend DE guy and if you scrape one, curb one, no big deal.

Here are some pics for you -

I'm a big fan of using your stockers for the track. Might as well use them if your going to keep them.

I can put you into these wheels with tires (mich, pirelli, or conti) for a lot less than 5-6k. I can also ship them out the same day.

20x9 20x12 360 forged spec5 matte Blk centers and inners. Tires would be new, wheels have a couple hundred miles on them

My advice would be to contact Peter Lee at Wheel Experts or Alan Baylis at Wheel Enhancement. These guys have tons of experience with track setups.

Thank you Dan he's not lying either .. reason forgedwheels plugs is cause only people who sell AMT ... is wheel experts .. i just spoke to john B owner of wheels enhancements and they dont carry AMT but they are also a great source for HRE ...
