Looking for a exhaust race spec???

My custom exhaust was finished yesterday. It is sport cats + straight pipes + quad tips.

The pos:
. Super light system compared to stock,
. One piece only for each side,
. The look of the quad tips really improved the sport look from the rear view,
. I felt a huge improvement in the boost kick, the turbos spool sooner and rev quicker,
. It sounds like a race car,
. I drove more than 100km with it and didn't got any cell light (300km/h speed run included).

The cons:
. The race car sound. I know that many members are swapping their performance exhaust for straight pipes, but i live in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood where you can the hear birds and nature. I also daily drive my car to work that is 40km far with 20km in the trafic jam.

I'm willing to sell it for the price that it cost me:
. 2x Flanges - 100 euros
. 2x Sport Cats (130mm/100CPSI) - 330 euros
. 2x Dual tips (80mm each) - 80 euros
. Labour - 390 euros
Total - 900 euros

If i don't get any feedback till tomorrow, the sport cats will be cut to replace the cats of the stock system.

I'm sorry you are unhappy with straight pipes, almost everyone who has done this mod finds them too loud, so not really unexpected. Since you live in a quiet area, as most of us do, I would suggest another complete exhaust system. Tubi is what I would endorse, but there are many others. Lastly, when selling used parts you can expect 50% of new +/- for condition. You will never get what you paid out for any mods, especially in this economy.
Sorry not trying to be harsh just realistic, GL with the sale.

I knew that the probability of being loud it was high, but after seeing some youtube videos with straight pipes with great sound, and some members saying that is not that loud, i tried to hear it for real. The problem is not the quiet place where i live but the fact that i drive it every days. If it was a 2nd car for that special moments, i would leave it like this because above 3500rpm the sound is just pure sex. Unfortunately 90% is driven between 1500-3000rpm.

I posted this because maybe there is someone looking for it, and please tell me where i can find a bolt-on system with 130mm sport cats + quad 80mm tips for the price that i'm asking?

Thanks for the tubi recomendation, but i'm not willing to spend +3000 euros in a exhaust. As i said above if i don't get any feedback i will swap the stock cats by these ones. I didn't done this first because i know that later i couldn't stop thinking of what it would sound with straight pipes...

I have never seen anyone cut the stock cats out and replace it with a sports cat. I too find it very loud to drive with the muffler bypass pipes. So if you do swap the sports cats with the stocks ones, Please document it, I would be interested in doing the same...

I have the Tubi race exhaust and on low throttle I find that I can quiet it down even more than the regular Tubi . Hit the pedal and it will wake up nature as you suggest. Plus at start up is it spivy sounding . I love this exahust.
I find the key to driving quiet residential or city is to drive slowly and ease off the throttle . I even find that many of the normally aspirated sport exhaust make a heck of a lot more noise .

Did the sport cats swap in the stock muffler, and i love the result.
I highly recommend this mod, because:

1. Only a little bit higher tone at idle, but barely notice for the average guy.
2. Lovely scream at medium at higher revs.
3. I can hear now the exhaust inside the cabin with windows closed, and without ANY DRONING.
4. I can hear now the turbos.
5. Definitly faster because traction control kicks more often in straight line accelerations (1st and 2nd gear).
6. The swap was made through the stock welds, so at the first look it seems a intact stock system.

Who said that the stock muffler is very restrictive, i bet that never saw one open. It has a big chamber inside of each side of the muffler and is highly free flow (what you see outside has the same shape inside). Like i thought, the restrictions of the OE system is the 600cpsi cats. Some say that you pay what you get, but is not this case and no way my system is now worst than the others from trusted Porsche-Tuning companies. I also don't mind not having a plate with the name of a trusted company in the exhaust box. Your choice: sport cats (330euros - ebay) + labour (i paid 6 hours of work - 300euros); or a exhaust system for +3500 euros.

I forgot to say that the europipe website is wrong when saying that the stock cats have 118mm diameter. The outer diameter is 130mm. So i have now 130mm diameter exhaust till the 60mm pipe inside the muffler big chamber that leads to the tips connector.

Ruf also modifies the stock exhaust, which don't forget actually has two cats inside.
