Not too,the BMW V10 5.0 designed to do higher speed with it 7-speed SMG box, after 4th gear it pulls like a monster..
Refer to the MOTOR AUSTRALIA magzine test result I had in my hand..
The 997tt they tested did 0-400m in 11.60 @ 121.625 and M6 is 12.54 @ 119.35 .
Then on the 0-1000m race the 997tt is 21.30 @ 154.008 and M6 now is 22.70 @ 153.994.
So you can see after 400m the M6 slower than 997tt by 2+mph and on 1000m line it almost the same speed finish as the 997tt.It catching up after 4th gear.

I believe its the UK/AUSTRALIAN 2009 version with more carbon parts and options.Nothing major changed.

My best friend has an M6 and we race all the time, from a stand i run away thanks to awd, from a roll we go side by side up to 260km/h, and my car is a convertible which is slower than the coupe, now with the ECU i beat him whatever the case
This video looks little wired to me, on second race the M6 got in front on fourth gear which is strange and the tt caught him, again little difficult for a stock tt
