The actual dampers are supposed to be quite good...there are a few manufacturers that offer a sleeve system to combine the stock electronic damper with an adjustable height system and new springs, thereby retaining electronic control of the dampers, but adding adjustability of height.

It probably says a lot more if a car can cross the start/finish line ahead of all other contenders after 24 hours of racing at the 'ring. Porsches do that fairly well.
