Favourite bodykit
I have been thinking about a body-kit for a while now for my Turbo:

I am still on the fence though as:
1) They cost a fortune, and some components such as front spoiler lips need replacing every couple years from wear and tear.
2) No complete kit has left me thinking "yes I live every single part of that kit"
3) I don't want to get just parts of a kit as I visit German Autobahns where 200mph is a territory you don't want to be in with car aerodynamics that hasn't extensively wind-tunnel tested.
Below are some of the kits I have been looking at (bit of advertising for some of you site sponsors!) which I have compiled together:

Alex,
First, your car looks great and those are some nice shots, second, great job with the enormous amount of pics for each kit, that took some time.
If I was purchasing a body kit I think I would choose either the Techart Type II, its got a very aggressive look and the lines are clean and the kit is not obnoxious. I know that these things get pricey and I'm sure its even more in the UK but it really does put the car on another level. Let us know what you decide and of course pics are a must.
Go Liverpool!

I'm a bit partial to the TechArt Type 2...
I will admit this however. When I first saw pictures I certainly was not a fan. I thought it was way too aggressive for the 997 body and frankly a bit too wild looking. However, once I saw it in person and installed on the car, I was blown away. It's beautiful!! Some people complain that the 911 doesn't have as much curb-appeal as a Lambo or F-car.....well put on a TechArt body kit and that changes REALLY fast!! You get every bit of what you pay for with TechArt. The fit, finish, and quality is second to none. It's also a huge benefit that all TechArt parts are wind-tested to insure they do not effect the car's aerodynamics. In most cases, they improve it. I vote for TechArt.

To put things into perspective these are the approx prices for 'bare minimum' (ie. not all parts in the kit) components here in the UK:
- TechArt type I kit = £7k fitted
- TechArt type II kit = £13.5k fitted
- speedArt kit = £5.5k fitted
- GT2 kit (front and rear bumper) = £6.5k fitted
You've got to REALLY love the kits to pay those sort of prices!
