All done but the driving

I changed my Canadian deep snow avatar this morning to show the "finished" product that I picked up yesterday (of course it started to snow this morning ). The HRE Comp 91s and tightened H & R sway bars make the perfect (for my driving styles - all year daily driver, track and road trips - and skill level) ride for me. The "connected" feeling is really there now and it feels tighter and lighter (not GT2 level mind you - want to keep planted in reality here) and the Bilstein Damps, toe links, AWE 620 kit with the GIAC combines the power and the performance to almost nirvana levels. Thanks again to Tunerworks and Refine Detailing (both of Calgary), AWE and GIAC for developing - both pre and post sale needs - my car with my specific interests in mind. This thanks also goes to the numerous people on this forum who have guided me every step of the way. I'm an old guy and this finished product takes decades off me every time I drive !

I'm driving from Canada (eh?) to San Diego for an extended stay in a couple of weeks so I should get a good chance to try out the finished product on some (police free?) secondary highways before I get on some of the SoCal tracks. Any and all advice for good routes to take to SD or around the SoCal area is welcome (anyone driven the north-south Higway 93 that ends up in Vegas?). Say hi or give me a honk if you see me - I will have the Alberta license plate, big grin, and adult diaper at higher speeds. Spring has sprung (almost).
K.

Take 1 down the coast. Basically, keep the big water in site as much as possible.

Ortega Highway is fun if you get up early enough to enjoy it with no traffic.

Somewhere along the way, make a hard left, cross the country, stop by our facility and let me buy you dinner. Philly is only 30 minutes away.

K.,

Congrats on such a well tuned car! Have a safe trip and be careful about cops on major California freeways. They ARE everywhere.

TT Surgeon - here are a couple for you.

These 3 piece rims are very light weight (25 lbs off stock) and well built for releasing water - plus they look very cool I think. The spokes are "brushed" and look a lot better in person. They also allow the stock wheels to relax into their full wide glory adding about an extra 1 inch to the road contact foot print. HRE were easy to talk with and they gave great advice without being pushy.

Altas Gray it is (terracotta and black interior). I'll take some more close-up shots of the HREs and see if I can post them.

For the 2007 TTs there is meteor grey, slate grey, and atlas grey but also the lighter arctic silver and GT silver.
