How much do you have to make/be willing to pay to purchase and maintain a 997 GT3 that is daily driven in the warmer months? Daily driven in Toronto = ~ May to October

Threads like this pop up every now and then and for the life of me I can't understand them. You know what the car costs, you know how much you make, and what your expenses are. Why would you ask such a question?

 

And secondly, why is this in the 997TT forum?

 

Assuming you guys arent fools, I'll let your comments slide - TCO includes repairs, gas, maintenance, etc. to keep your beauty running. I am not looking at purchasing options as I will pay cash for my vehicle, however I would like to know more about the unwritten costs that are absorbed when owning an exotic vehicle. Who better to ask then those who own the vehicles themselves?

It's not the maintenance costs that are bad, it's the mods addiction that will kill you.

 

If you are paying cash for the car then what's the big deal with the maintenance?

Depending on the TCO I may wait another year or look at alternative options
