300 miles and I'm modding

Just installed the tubi exhaust w/Fabspeed tips. The finish on the tubi
is fantastic, too bad you can't see any of it
except when it's up on a lift. Only issue was with the passenger side cat
flange. The holes just didn't match up to the turbo
or the gasket, off slightly but enough so it won't bolt up. Had to
enlarge the holes on the cat flange and then it bolted on. The left side
was ok.
The Fabspeed tips look awesome and bolted on with no problems and just
finished off the mod perfectly. I didn't know what to expect as far as
sound since I never heard a tubi on a Porsche (just Ferrari) so I was
ecstatic when we fired it up the 1st time. Its louder then stock but just
slightly lower than my Cargraphic Loud version. Went for a test drive and
wow, I love this exhaust. Very aggressive sound but not annoying. This
is my 3rd system on a turbo and have to say, imo I like the tubi the
most. Thanks to Alex @Sharkworks for suggesting it and great service as
always and special thanks to Mike at Chambers Porsche and Steve for
another fantastic install ! I'm off to put on some miles and enjoy the
tunes (from the tubi), car is dirty from the rain, will take some better pics later.

Hey Dave, seriously our pleasure and I was glad to see you say that very same thing about where the sound is. It's a really great sound and I'm so glad they took the good things about the "race" version of the exhaust and carried it over to their new regular set up (I'll let them know about the holes/flange since we hadn't seen that yet!). Tips look great on there too! Enjoy and make sure you keep her

very nice! i also have Tubi "remora" exhaust and i must agree; the sound is exhilarating! not to loud @ idle but just "screams" pass 4500 all the way to redline! (sounds like a GT3 Cup car) the g's generated when you step on it is like nothing i've ever experienced. the pull on you is just violent! do you also have the Tubi race headers? what is the hp after mods? by the way great color also! enjoy

I have the stock headers and I don't know what hp increases are for the tubi. I'm still going thru break-in period but did do a short burst in 2nd and 3rd and the Sound and shove in the back was crazy can't wait to do a few WOT runs

it's outrageous! the POWER these modded tts possess is undescribable; it pulls hard just about every gear! it's a must experience to be believed along with the exhaust note! it's a SMILE that keeps on giving!

Dave, you're gonna love the tubi, like I told you zero drone!
Looks as if they have the pipes btwn the cats and muffler welded/1 peice, I think that is key to avoiding drone. I know their race version had v band clamps which are known to loosen/induce drone.
Congrats!
btw, what other syetem besides the cg did you try?

Chris,
The cats were not weld to the center section, they bolted on, just like the tips. The center section ships with nothing attached on the ends.

It's interesting that the Gen 2 Tubi now has a large central muffler, as opposed to the 2 smaller left and right boxes of Gen 1.
When I auditioned the Gen 1 Tubi, I noticed that it has very little low frequency rumbling; the larger central box would most likely improve on this (larger box produces lower frequecy).

Congrats on the beautiful car. Second time's the charm!

Looks great Dave . I am on my second Tubi (3rd if one includes my 997S) and love the sound and finish . With the gen 1 Tubi I had the Evoms headers .The race version is not as loud as one might expect. If one steps on it --it wails-- but low throttle is civilized .

The aqua and P40 setup is gorgeous . I really like your choices and felt that way with your meteor C4S too . This one though is the winner .

"Moddingitis Syndrome" no cure, early onset (after purchase), very aggressive, only treat the symptoms!
