Thumbs up EVT700 with Brembo Big Brake Upgrade

We don't often do brake kit upgrades on the 997TT projects since most come with PCCB's so I figured I'd share these pictures of a recent upgrade (to replace some PCCB's that went a little sour sadly). For the front a 6 piston (in yellow) monoblock caliper with 380x32 2-piece slotted rotors with Brembo/Ferodo DS3000 Race Brakes race pads. In the rear a four piston caliper and 380x28 2 piece rotor combo with F40/50 Pagid 4-2 race pads. Being considerably larger in the rear too makes the fronts look small

Ready to go!

Alex, quick question for future reference and clarification in my own mind. Do you make sure to change out the brake lines to steel braided lines, because of the added pressure on the lines? Kenny

Thanks Kenny and absolutely correct. All of the Brake Kit upgrades from Brembo include GoodRich SS lines for the front and back

Brakes seem great so far. Not even too noisy with race pads.

I will give them a workout at Miller Motorsports near SLC with Audi Club June 6/7 (lots of room available for the event, BTW).

Miller's main straight is 3500 feet long and I understand that speeds of 150-160mph are possible.

Sounds good Chris. Was going to check in with you. I didn't think they were all that noisy either (not GTR-style with race pads that's for sure) and the pedal did actually feel really good to me too with this new 6piston (vs their older 8 piston set up). Those are some mighty speeds so let us know!

Thanks ha3 and the kit you are referring to there is a rotor swap for the steel brakes. A nice upgrade in terms of cooling properties but it's not as if you're changing the calipers etc.... so this upgrade is a lot more severe

Is there a reason to use 15" in the rear instead of 14" in the rear? Wouldn't this make it too bias to the rear?
