VR700ish Build - Motons, Milltek, Agency Power, New VTG Turbos
About a year ago, a man named Kino contacted me about some Bilstein PSS10 coilovers for his 997 C4S. His car had the HRE P40 wheels and he was very on point with what he wanted and how he wanted it. I got him the coilovers and the story goes from there...
A few months after, Kino hits me up that he wants to trade in his C4S and get a 997TT. He asked me if that was a good idea. Duh! The benefits are huge. So he got a great deal on a silver Turbo and begin his modding. First he got another set of Bilstein PSS10 damptronic coilovers from us. After setting these up on his GT2 wheels, he decided that the wheels needed to go and we got him some 20" HRE P40 brushed with Michelin Tires. His PSS10 coilovers were good, but he wanted something more aggressive that would give the car better handling. After trying out some GMG sway bars and having the car rebalanced, we discussed the JIC coilovers like I have on my Project 997TT. Were these the way to go? After installation and fixing a couple of issues, yes. The car handled much better with the 9/12KG spring rate and different shock valving. He was in love. But soon enough, he found that the JIC was causing some issues and he was not as satisfied.
Having owned 70 some odd cars, he was very particular about the handling and ride quality of the Porsche. For some reason the JIC was not cutting it for his liking. At this point, there is only 1 step up, which leads us to where we are now. Kino and his buddy hauled all the way from Austin, TX to Vivid Racing to get his car serviced. I put my reputation on the line to guarantee we would make his car the ultimate beast he wanted.

The Mods:
- Moton Club Sport Coilovers with seperate rebound and compression
- Mode Engineering Front Camber Plate with built in -1 degree of progressive camber
- Mode Engineering Rear Pillowball Mounts
- H&R Front 600lb Main Spring
- H&R Rear 900lb Main Spring
- H&R 150lb Helper Springs
- Agency Power Front Adjustable Sway Bar Links
- Agency Power Front 3way Adj Solid 25.5 Sway Bar and Rear 3way Adj Solid 24.5 Sway Bar to replace GMGs
The next round of mods are going to be performance related. We want the car to be very reliable, daily driveable, and strong. So we are going to be going with what is just a step below our VR750 kit. I say VR700ish as this car will keep its stock headers, intercoolers, and intake system. The customer really only wants 650 at the crank on pump gas (93 octane), but with cool fuel, the car should crank out about 700ish. The target goal with the car at about 1.1bar of boost is 550 awhp. This is EASILY obtainable.

I actually have a 20D sitting right here. We do more photography, build updates, and more then others. Would you rather have us shoot great pictures of all these cars and not deliver product like a certain wheel company?
Let's just enjoy the progress, keep the "comments" for later

How important is to do the upgraded IC's??
My goal out of all the modding was to get more HP of course and to keep the car reliable and not add any stress on the Engine or any other parts of the vehicle.
I read on another thread here that if you do the bigger VTG's and not upgrade your IC's you can run into temp issues... what advice you guys have for me? i am not going for max power but i am adding 200+ HP so that's still a lot of gain...

So you can run with stock intercoolers but don't run it for long. Before you decide do track or drag, you better get that done.

The GMG sway bars made by Eibach are hollow. Our Agency Power sway bars are solid. The rear sway bar is actually 24.5mm where the GMG is 23.4. Our fronts are the same at about 25.5mm. I designed the Agency Power sway bars to be more stout. Yeah hollow is lighter, but like in KA case, they are actually flexing slightly causing issues in the front steering.
