Rear subwoofer housing install

These are just a few pictures of my custom subwoofer enclosure. There will be four down facing JL Audio W6's in the enclosure. The stitching matches the factory as well as the leather and carpet. Some of the pictures show a mismatch but that's just the camera. There are a few dirt specs as well that I wiped off after taking these pictures.

I'm using two Audison Quatros mounted in the front trunk with a Bit One, but they're very heavy so I'll likely swap them later.

The rest of the drivers are Morells

The head unit is the new Kenwood 9140.

I'll have a front camera mounted low to view curbstones and a rear camera as well.

Four-time Oscar winner Gary Summers will be tuning the sound for me. He's had mention for his own car at SEMA the last few times.

I'll be posting the full project soon as it comes to completion.

The system will be a bit heavy and it strays from my initial desire to lighten up the car - but what the heck, it's all good one way or the other!

That's one hell of a system. Box looks good. Where did you place the stock pcm or did yo remove it completely? Post more pics when you get the amp installed and head unit..

Here are more pictures of the sub enclosure and other areas of the work in progress:

Thanks for the comments guys. I'll be replacing the stock PCM with a Kenwood 9140 and painting the rest of the stock control plates black. I'm looking into just replacing the stock gray HVAC control unit, etc. with the new black factory ones instead of painting the rest black.

Some more...

Aaron, of Marin Sound Works, does first rate work! Yes, a plug, but a worthy one.
