Leather air vents and vanes for my 997 Turbo

I just received a set (three pieces) of leather air vents with leather vanes from Porsche. They look great and I didn't expect the vanes to be leather wrapped as well. I have also ordered the door finishers (around the door handle) in leather as well but they haven't arrived yet.

Pictured are a side vent and the center vent.

I'll have some more pics to post in a week or so as I'm having the rockers and front and back lips painted Arctic Silver - the color of my car. I'm also painting the center console pieces in silver as well as the PCM (now Kenwood) area and switch plates. I'm installing a Kenwood 9140 in place of the stock unit so I'm going to detach the trim from around the screen and have that painted silver as well to get a more integrated look.

Thanks!

Is the "overconsole the part that mates in front of the leather gear shift boot, under the cubby hole? If so, I tried to order that in leather but I need a VIN of a car that has that.

I actually have the painted console pieces ready to install. They were done by BumperPlugs.Com and are very nice. Yes. they will look great. I just sent the PCM surround, switch plates, and cubby hole section to Eric today for painting.

overhead console is where dome lights, home link, sunroof switches are. you can either paint or have leather. that part in front of shifter is painted on my tt. looks great; separates center console from PCM nicely; bumperplugs can paint that piece too, ties in everything nicely. you can also paint shifter surround with a deviated color; black if you have blk leather or CF if you have CF in the interior. hope this helps

Chris,
My interior is black. My handle is Bluesea. That may be why you thought it - or you may have sensed that I have originally thought about having a Sea Blue interior. LOL!

I have always thought about doing your color combo.

I actually had Eric paint the front piece silver but I later decided that a leather covered piece would be nice and flow well with the shifter boot. I'll try the silver piece when I reinstall everything - since I have it.

Yeah, I may get the overconsole in leather. I haven't thought about doing that in silver but now I will give it some thought. I'll consider painting other trim pieces when everything is back together. Thanks.

Basil

have seen tts with that piece painted combined with alcantara shifter/brake/steer wheel; looks stunning! could not do it on mine cause i have sea blue; would look awesome in blk. alcantara is the big craze @ the moment every exotic has it in one form or another. (ferrari, lambo, AMG)

Alcantara is nice but it doesn't fit with what I'm doing.
