Radiator Issues??

So while I was getting ready to have my drop links re-installed (thanks to the thread that made me check to see that they were in fact installed wrong)...I noticed another pink puddle in my garage.

Yep another radiator with a leak.

I have now replaced all 3 radiators. All covered under warranty. All that the tech and I could think is that there was a bad run of radiators on the early cars.

Has anyone else had an issue or am I the only one?

I'm curious if this is a larger issue than my car.

The only pet-peeve I have is the oddity of radiator exposure.
I mean at high velocity a stone or any road debris could very easily
damage the fins. I would think a protective mesh of some sort would have been logical..(think chicken wire even..) but hey what do I know.

Yup, apparently very common here in the UK for Turbo owners to replace radiators on early 997 models.

Apparently it's not just leaks that give it away it's meant to be a funny smell too.

I will certainly have mine checked before my 2 year warranty runs out in December.
