Who do ya like??? I am ready to buy but am confused what to get??? I really want a new W212 Blk/Blk E63 dropped on 20's... but I know I will miss my 997 soo much which will be my 3rd carrera purchase if I get the new TT PDK, such a hard choice this round, I know the handles in the Benz. might be a fatal decision. and I might regret, what's one to do??? Any words of wisdom before I pull the trigger 6erz

 

TT romps on the AMG in all departments, 997.1 included. E63 is a great car. TT is better unless you need the 4 doors.

 

hmm...manual vs AT...all-around performance vs straight-line power...true sports car vs a souped-up family sedan....no question the TT gets my vote anyday/anytime.

 

tt hands down unless u have kids and the TT is your only car

 

I would become bored in an AMG Benz inside of one week , Then try and sell it and it depreciates like a falling rock . Everytone is different and that Turbo will cost more but I would buy the Porsche without question.

 

e63 is fantastic car.
but...
imho you will miss the character of Porsche.
Ill get TT and wont look back

Totally 2 different shape of cars...Hard to compare really.
In any sort of race,997tt will eat the E63 for breakfast..
When you have 4 friends/chicks to go with you..E63 will be your loyal service man

So...GET BOTH!!

 

Msrp of the PDK TT might be higher than the E63 but I think they will lease pretty close as Porsche is really dealing hard nowadays, 0 to 60 times on the E63 are posted at 4.4 sec. but I have heard that it is much quicker than what Mercedes is claiming. Very hard choice still pondering, but you guys are making the choice easier with every comment...thx

 

Its a saloon car..Whatever it performing, it still not even gonne close to the 997tt's power/weight level.Wait for the 997tt.2 arrive and test drive both in a same day you ll see.

 

This is a porsche prejudice forum, and it shows. Im sure you will get different results if posted on the amg forum. Both are great but different cars. The bottom line is what would suite you best. I myself am getting ready for the switch to a more conservitive family oriented car yet powerful car. I guess my taste in cars is starting to change with my age (Ouch)

 

Performance wise the TT wins, if you need the extra room the E63 is a fine choice. You have to make the purchase based on your needs. I would definetly not want a TT if I had to always drive more than one person around for work or family reasons.

 

Very short list of cars Id take over a TT Porsche. E63 aint one of em. Were it the big dog SL65 AMG Black series then and only then would I say Benz. TT Porsche all the way from these two choices.

 

I own an E63, and though I love it, I'd trade it straight-up for a 997 TT w/o even thinking. Cash kept me from my 997 TT, so I "settled" for the E63. Love it, but my heart yearns for a 997 TT (or Ferrari 430 he he).

 

No doubt the Benz is a great car, but the TT is on another level.

I'd take the Porsche everyday.
