Gotta be a typo. It says it has 6500mi and is like new? He's asking price is almost 40k below the next cheapest guy so it has to be a typo so it has to be a typo. Even a salvaged car would bring more than that.

Typo? Probably more like a scam especially if no vin# is listed inthe autotrader ad. I've seen a lot of scam posts there recently. Usually they'll have a bogus price framed in w/ the picture of the car. I'll bet if you change your search area to 'Any Distance' you'll find pictures of the exact same car in a legit ad...

Remember, if something seems too good to be true....

Definately a scam... The car will be shipped straight to you from Nigera after you send a money order to his daughter in London...

Even with a salvage title that's a great deal, assuming it was "re-built" to a decent standard. I'd pay $47,000 to make it a full blown track car.

I second that it's a typo or a scam but worth contacting the seller nonetheless.
Buyer beware.

So, I contact the buyer earlier today and just got a response back from him...

<style><!-- .hmmessage P { margin:0px; padding:0px } body.hmmessage { font-size: 10pt; font-family:Verdana } --></style>Hello,

Thanks for your reply, I'm looking to sell the car for $45,700. It has a clear title and the overall condition is excellent there are no dings, scratches or any kind of damage on the body also the interior is like new no rips, tears or smells (I'm a non-smoker).
I had a buyer offering $46,700 and I've lost about 2 weeks waiting for him to pay just to find out in the end that his loan wasn't approved. I've lowered the price because I'm in desperate need of cash it's either the car or the house so if you don't need a loan you can have it.
I'm currently signed up for a protection program offered by Yahoo! Autos and I would like to close the deal through them. If you are not aware of this program you should know that it will allow you to test drive and inspect the car before paying me. You will have a 7-day inspection period to decide whether you want to keep the car or not before they release the funds to me.
If you are still interested and have cash just send me your Yahoo! Autos id (if you don't have one just go to http://autos.yahoo.com/ and click the sign up link from the top right corner) and I'll ask them to fill you in with the transaction details.

Look forward hearing from you.
[name withheld by me but initals are JC]
Congrats to me , I just wired him the $$ as this is just too great of a deal to pass up!

Good thing I didn't have to waste time getting or waiting for loan approval!

I still can't see myself driving a SY TT but you only live once!

Wow...desperate times create some pretty interesting deals. We all know they're out there, it's just a matter of finding them and capitalizing as quickly as possible.

Good luck with the transaction and keep us all in the loop.
Get a FULL inspection at a Porsche dealer as soon as you can, frame and all.
I've heard of people repairing cars that should have been salvaged with an independent body shop and not reporting to the DMV. (just something to look out for)

Hmm.... Subscribed. Let us know how this all plays out, just seems too odd. "Signed up for Yahoo auto protection"... "Complete the transaction through them"...

I hope for your sake this is legit and works out well. Best of luck!

What?? Why would you wire him $ when you have this magic Yahoo 7 day period to drive, inspect, and then choose to pay?

Its BS- the price is just way too low. He could walk into any Porsche dealer and they would low ball him at 65-70k and he still would be 25k better than his asking. Salvage or washed title...
