1) the 997.1 would lose .
2) the 997.2 would lose but put up a better fight. PDK and the immediate response of the Dfi would help .
3) A stock Turbo would lose .
4) A modded Turbo will eat it alive but with Califonia emmisions and 91 octane it would not be a slam dunk. In fact it would be a lot closer . Plus I believe California even has aftermaket parts laws (???) so if this is held to strict rules both cars might end up being stock (if so see number 3).
5) I thought that Nissan requests Gtr owners sign a track waiver .Is that true?
A lot of folks undestimate the Gtr . Nissan's customer service plus the car's actual build quality ,safety, styling and oveall fun factor can not really compete with Porsche but if getting around the block with a stopwatch is the goal .. the Gtr is not a wimp.

Sucks you have to live in or around the LA area...if this was going to be held at Sebring in Florida...sign me up...I think I could hold my own against a GTR at Sebring...depending on driver skill. We've had them at the track before...not too scary. I know some GT3 and GT3RS guys that could take a GTR.
Some have mentioned a 997 Turbo...problem is a 997 Turbo being all wheel drive is slower at the track than a GT3 or GT3RS.

GT-R continues to be one of those that I would love to have, but only if it were the third toy car in my garage, and certainly behind a GT3 RS. Since I don’t have that sort of disposable cash, I’d settle for checking them out from afar. LOL
Dropping $80k for one as my primary weekend car…tough to justify, as I don’t live on a track.
I agree. You can look at any magazine you want to see that a stock GTR will out perform a stock Turbo in just about any category. I don't think this "show/competition" has been thought out very well.
Why doesn't Royal Purple host Texas Mile? I think that would even the field out a little. Or host a series of events...quarter mile drag favors the GT-R...60-130 or standing mile favor the 997TT.
