GMG Expands to Northern Ca and partners with BRRacing... Open House this weekend!!!!
For several years, many of you have suggested that GMG expand its operations into Northern California to cater to the car enthusiast up north.
With that being said, we decided to expand our services and partner with BRRacing in Los Gatos, CA and designate them as a full GMG Distribution and Install center and we are pleased to announce our newly formed partnership with BRRacing in Los Gatos Ca.
BRRacing features a 7000 sq ft facility, fully equipped to handle all service, performance tuning and track prep for your Porsche. Additionally, the staff at BRRacing has years of experience in racing and they know how to properly set up a race car. After working with BRRacing over the years, we felt that they had the knowledge, commitment and dedication to provide excellent service and quality work to our Porsche customers in the Northern California area.
Just like GMG in Southern California, BRRacing blends proven motorsport experience with performance tuning skills to provide the customer the ability to service your vehicle under one roof by a dedicated staff of professionals. BRRacing also services BMW, Audis, Ferraris and other European manufactures.
This coming weekend is BRRacing’s Open House: Sunday October 18, 2009 from 10-4.
In support of BRRacing, GMG will be on site with a full selection of GMG products and the GMG World Challenge GT3 Cup Car, fresh from its win at Laguna Seca.
BRRacing will also have on display its 2010 GMG WC- GT3 street car.
Come down and check out BRRacings impressive facility, the many tuned cars on display, meet the staff and have an opportunity to sample some of the best products on the market for your Porsche.
Bring your car down for display as well and have a fun afternoon with fellow enthusiasts.
This will be an extra special event this weekend as we will be celebrating our SCCA Pro Racing Speed GT WIN from the past weekend at Laguna Seca and the 2009 Manufacutures Championship for Porsche.
All those who come by will get a free 2010 GMG World Challenge Calendar.
We look forward to seeing you at the event.

As a partner to GMG they will have our technical support and the staff at BRRacing is more than capable of working on Porsche. They have already set up a few cars and have done very well.
They key is that have a motorsport and racing back ground which is instrumental in setting up these cars..

Appreciate you bringing up the long ago past when we were very small, and did not have the team we have today at all, I guess people and companies cannot change according to those on the forums and the view they always have (even that issue is not of any real concern if you know the full history).
Happy to provide you with information on our knowledge with Porsche and the fact that we were assisting GMG this past weekend in the win for Porsche to clinch the manufacturer's title.
We have added new staff continuously since we opened and you first experienced any work from us, and have greatly grown and expanded in this down economy where others are struggling. (We have expanded the shop three times since that time alone)
Our staff and team now has direct racing experience from several other venues....from Indy Car, to Le Mans, to SCCA Pro Racing...these are not club level events at all.
In addition, we have been working w the drivers from Flying Lizard (the American Le Mans champions of this year) to work thru the development of the Porsche car, from suspension tuning to full development. We have built up several Porsche track cars for our customers this year, and they have all seen great success and improvements in the work that has been done.
That should address both sides of the equation and more. We have the team resources with multiple years of experience in the racing side. We have direct experience in racing ourselves for over 16 years, and with one of the strongest racing records from anyone...not just participation, but the highest winning percentage around. We don't just go racing and play...we go to develop and win, and we have...and not just once in a single race, but in multiple race categories and championships. We have not just done racing in our own backyard, but all over the US. We have crewed for multiple race teams, from here to participating in major races like the Sebring 12 hours races in Florida.
We have the driving experience to know what works and what doesn't.
We are instructors for several driving groups, and have been driving Porsche's this year of our own and our customers. We have been taken out on the track by Johannes von Overbeek to work with us on suspension setup and changes.
We now have the team (people) who have direct working experience in the racing world from multiple venues....experience that time can't just replicate.
We have been working w several Porsche race teams this whole year, to further the knowledge, exposure, and direct hands on experience to make us a leader in this field.
We worked not just on one car at the American Le Mans race this past weekend, but five (5). We had a car (all Porsche's) sustain major damage, and we assisted in the full and quick repair, and got the car back out in the American Le Mans main race and turned great lap times after the incident (that incident was caused by the Corvette team running into the back of us and the BMW Rahal Letterman team, and can be seen on the TV coverage of the main race).
We worked directly w engine tuner (who we have known and worked with for over 10 years, so this is not some new relationship on that side either). We worked and spent considerable time w the brake supplier on some new changes that have been developed for the braking system. We tried out some new parts and tweaks.
Our experience, and confidence, is not just in the work we have been doing, but it has also been reinforced by other suppliers, as we were earlier announced as the Novitec dealer for Ferrari this summer, and they do not select just any dealer...there is a defined process for being appointed as the dealer in the area. We have also been announced as the Powerchip dealer for the area, and have done numerous upgrades, updates, and flashes for a wide range of manufacturers.
This is the kind of exposure, race experience, prior experience, and now w our own GT3 2010 car of our own, the kind that no other shop in our area has....period. We have a strong customer base in the Porsche area, and have been working on 996 TT's, 996S, 997 TT, 996 GT3, 997 GT3, 997 GT3/RS, 944, 944T, 997C4S DI, 993....that should give you an idea that this is not new to us.
We are not saying we know it all....we never well, but our goal is to be the best, and to be continously working to develop and enhance the Porsche line.
Happy to take our car on the track and prove that to anyone....anytime.
