Yeah, it was a porsche turbo.
In the next book, Edward buys Alice a Porsche Turbo
Bella refuses to have a nice car and keeps her POS truck until they get married.
After they get married, Edward buys her a Ferrari F430.
I read the book when it first came out (2005) and read the rest since.

HAHA. I was thinking the same thing.
I guess I have my movies/cars mixed up. I'll admit I did read the last 3 books. New Moon sucked. Eclipse and Breaking Dawn were OK, just because they had more action and fighting....
