My car has decided to go into partial hibernation mode today. The key doesn't work to unlock the car although something is triggering. Once in the car when I turn the key all dash lights are on but nothing happens. Then the PSM and ABS failure notification comes up. The window doesn't drop down the 1/4" but then after a couple of attempts of turning the key both windows decide to go down and yet the switches don't work. After closing the door all 3 dome lights stay on and wont go off unless you flip the switches manually to the off position. I have power to trunk light and apparently the dash lights and all the key lock button does is chirp the horn.
I fear she is destined for the 1-800 Porsche roadside assist.
Any ideas??

Just to be redundant: Battery. I (unfortunately) leave the car idle for weeks at a time without driving it (bad owner, bad owner!). No trickle charger. I've gone to open the door with the remote only for it not to do anything initially. Few more presses and it opens up. Haven't had the other problems, but I figure I better get that charger or I'll end up in similar scenario as yours.
Thanks guys, she's on the trickle charger now so lets hope thats it. I drove it to get the state inspection 2 days ago with no issues, and I tend to drive her once a week but then sometimes it might be 3-4 weeks. Any idea how long the factory batteries are good for? 36,72 months??
The trickle charger may bring it back to life for a bit but if it is flat it will not last long. I just went through the same thing a month ago. Sounds like a new battery is in your very near future.

2-3 years tops if not maintained on a trickle charger. Even then, 3 years is pushing it.
A trickle charger may not revive the battery, but it will tell you if it is the source of the problem. Be aware, when you start the vehicle (lets cross our fingers) you're going to get a bunch of warning CELs...they will go away after a short drive.
Warranty won't cover a part that is considered usual usage (ie brake pads, clutch.) Don't go to the dealer. If you are handy, you can buy a reliable battery elsewhere if it fits the specs.

Definitely the battery. 48hrs on the trickle charger to no avail. The dealer wants $335 drive out to replace. I am 4000 miles shy on the required milage for warranty coverage. Dealer indicted they would replace it with an Interstate battery. Cost at dealer $225+tax. Picking up an MTP-H8 from Interstate for $204 drive out. If you haven't replaced yours yet a removal tip for you. Get a helper unless you are a weight lifter
Tip the battery towards the cabin and then lift out. The rear edge of the battery sits under a small overhang.
Also if you haven't already done so make sure to check the fluid level in the battery. It comes with a decal over the cell covers that makes it look maintenance free which it isn't. Peel the center portion of the decal to expose the 3 per side cell covers and then adjust level as required.
