Official 6speedonline 997TT performance list: mods and result
Hi everyone,
I'm in my way to upgrade my 997TT to 700/750 kit. As part of the intensive search I have done, I found a lot of great feedback from tuners and owners, so I thought about set spread sheet that can be updated by everyone to compare different cars with different kits to help everyone to make the right decision when it comes to upgrade the 997TT engine.
Before we start I would like to clarify or highlight some points:
- I'm not professional and far from being professional. I'm regular person with engineering background ( help me to understand a lot of things ) who loves his car so much , so I might have wrong info and everyone is always welcome to correct me.
- expensive kit doesn't not mean fast car and visa versa. High dyno HP and torque numbers don't mean fast 1/4mile and 60-130 as a lot of variables effect the dyno result.
so there are a lot of reasons that makes someone goes to one kit over the other: price, speed, reliability, warranty, location, relation, customer service ... etc etc. This thread with the updated sheet will help me and everyone to make the right decision, and always remember THERE IS NO ABSOLUTE BEST.
The compression is going to be between cars as fallows:

If there is anything I should add to the list that I forgot please let me know.
click here to see sample of the sheet I'm working on. Most of the information were gathered from the posts by 6speed members. nothing out of the 6speed community.
There is a lot more info's that I have saved in word file about same cars with different set up that were changed over the time or some issues needed to be fixed and how, but I listed the last result or the best. Also I have a lot of technical info from tuners websites and posts about their kits. ( ALL AVAILABLE IF NEEDED)

ran the car with less load and it dynoed previous to this run @ 628 whp... this is a bit less than the 675 the car is delivered as the 775 package.
Extra info from TPC:
We have been compared to the protomotive ICs... they are very different ICs as ours are hybrid core... both are 4.5" though. Mike and Todd are very good friends and share a lot of the same philosophy in regard to tuning but I can assure you that our 4.5" core is exclusive to TPC. Protomotive is up there with the best of them. Ic = intercoolers
10.6 in the quarter @ 135 with wheel spin on the low HP setting(623~whp)... we believe it is good for a near 10.0 on pump but we dont have the time or a cage in the car to run it. we have never tried to get a 60-130 time.
The turbos are factory 997TT turbos rebuilt to our specifications. When purchasing a 775B kit your turbos are required to be sent back as cores

Intercoolers: SPI MONSTER IC’s 6''
We have found that the 6" is a no-bull high performer for both street and track, has less than a pound per-square-inch of pressure drop across the core which is very important and shows just how efficient these are.
When you are on the track, with ambient temps easily going above 100*, the more surface area you have to exchange the temp, the easier it is for the IC to lower the temps to that level, making intake air temperatures will be much more stable than a smaller core that will heat up very quickly and have a hard time bringing the IAT down to near ambient temps.

The VR700 turbo kit put out a very strong 616awhp and 632ft/lbs of torque with the Mustang Dyno correction factor. Our test vehicle was a 2007 Porsche 997 Turbo Tiptronic. The car reached its final number using VP109 octane unleaded fuel at 1.3bar of boost. As tested on pump gas, the car still made an impressive 557awhp and 600ft/lbs of torque. With an ambient temperature of 92F in our dyno room

the car down to the Mustang AWD Dyno to give it a whirl. The ambient temp was 90F and humid since we just had a rain storm. Pump gas 93 octane we ran it 3 times and came out with 510awhp and 580ft/lbs of torque. Strap that to a Dyno Jet, you are talking 550awhp. Put 109 unleaded gas in it, you are pushing close to 600 wheel horsepower. Oh yeah, and drop the air temp to 70F and the turbos love you again. In the end, we did the job, the customer only wanted about 650 crank and we have accomplished that mark. Enjoy the pics and video.

Thanks for adding us... Please note that our 775 car uses Sachs Motorsport clutch available through us... The only thing that we found that would hold our level of power without going to a multipack(which isnt streetable). The 775 car also was running our old 4.5" intercoolers when that time was run... Our 5" coolers have not been run yet... Currently 4 other 6speeders with teh 775 kit that just havent chimed in yet, i suppose.
I appreciate being in the same classification as TPC, Proto, EVO, Switzer. I have 2 very fast cars in Kuwait and many more customers.
Abdullah please add my correct kit and delete that other info - http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/v...9-p-80007.html

cayenne_ksa,
I think most will agree that each of the kits and manufacturers you've mentioned above make a good product. Although I have my personal preferences (EVOMS), I will say this. As an end user you need to consider not only the hardware and performance of the kit, but also give a lot of consideration to reliability and after-purchase support.
Sure, there are many folks out there who can make great power and build a super fast car, but the key question is how well do these cars run a month, three months, a year, two years, down the road? I can honestly say that the EVT750 and EVT800 kits we've installed are all still running flawlessly and between EVOMS and their fantastic network of dealers I don't think you'll find a better, more proven, and reliable solution.
