I've had an M3, M5 and M6, all great cars, but stepping into the TT is just stepping into a different league. Now just have to wait until the end of next week to get my Tubi Street on, and maybe the TT wil get a bit closer on the sound side...
Spot on. Hard to beat a V10 at WOT with a quality set of cans. Flat 6 with turbos sounds absolutely horrible.

911 turbo is a lot more expensive (even more so used, due to BMW's horrible depreciation), so I don't think you can directly compare the two cars. For the price of a TT, you can actually get a 5.7L 630hp Dinan stroker M6, which would be an awesome GT machine and very comfortable for long drives.

I own M5 smg and 997 C2s 6speed , i love both of them in every way . M5 wins in the comfort zone for long drives , but 997 thrill is totally diffrenet. Its like having a blonde (c2s)for the weekend and a brunette (m5)for everyday use. This coming summer the blonde will be replaced with a super blonde(997TT 6speed)

Oh, and I also had an M5 prior to my 997TT. I won't go into the narrative part of it but all of the empirical evidence shows that people graduate from the M5/6 to 997tt, not so much the other way around!
They did, but it had zero effect on our tax load. Government had to change how they tax due the EU legislation. Cars still cost like hell in here...

yep, I kindly ask to pass your comment directly to our beloved government. And yes, it hurts every time to even think about it...

Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion even if they are dead wrong.

Bmw is a great car, but cant match up to the 500 horse power V6, even though the bmw has 500hp, it has a v10 and still cant touch the 997tt in handling, performance, fun to drive, etc...... this had to either be a joker who never even drove the 997tt b4, and is just talking **** aka dreamer, or works for BMW, and put that on the website to keep their little bit of people they have left into maybe buying another m6 as oppose to buying a 997tt like several people did on this forum.
P.S when was the last time your dealership handed over the keys to a TURBO and was like here take it, like it doesn't cost 150,000 grand......this guy is a loser..... i would spend the extra money for a turbo any day over the m6....smhhh

I love both of the cars. My m5 is great for throwing my hockey stuff in and the TT is great for that late night outing with the wife when I'm feeling aggressive.

All in all I thought it was a fair comparo. He drove a Cab which isn't that much lighter than the M6.

While the Turbo will have greater feedback, you still cannot duplicate RWD handling feel with AWD, PERIOD.

You also have to give credit to the fact that

#1 New cars have not settled yet and will not feel the same as ones with some miles on them.

#2 Once you get used to a car, getting into another one (especially a new one), can unsettle your comfort zone.

A Cab Turbo is not exactly the definition in road feel and feedback precision.
