Caragraphic race review :)
Caragraphic race review :)
Ok peeps
Just got my cargraphic exhaust installed about 4 days ago and all I can say is WOW. The exhaust is absolutely amaazing. After driving it hard for 4 days it certainly has become more louder. On idle it is loud enough to know that the car has something on it. Not too loud but just perfect. On start up however it is just way too loud for like the first 20 - 30 seconds until the engine warms up. Under woot it just absolutely screams, you won't realize how loud it is unless you here it from out of the car. It really is that loud under wot. My friend was in his car next to mine when I floored it and he said it was so loud that it hurt his ears.
As far as performance goes, it really feels like the flow is a lot smoother and feels there is less back pressure. You get to hear the turbos all the way through the rpm, this is probably the best part I like about the exhaust. Well thats about it. If any of you are thinking to get a loud system you SOULD DEFINATELY put the cargraphic race as your top choice. Perfect sound for me.
Will post pictures shortly.
I would also like to greatly thank Tom for all the help he has contributed. Has given me a lot of information on this product even though I did not get the system from him, infact I have never bought anything from him and he has always been kind enough to answer my inquiries and help me with anything I ask. This is what makes this site so special and is because of people like him.

My Cargraphic Loud behaves the exact same way at start up. For the first 30 seconds or so, it is pretty darn loud, but it then settles down. I agree with your comment at WOT, as mine sounds awesome.
Thanks for the kind words J. I'm always here to help.
Here's some pictures of the system that Porsche Boy received, just before install at his local shop. He was having trouble uploading, so he sent them to me to post up.

Hmm, not really. I think it depends if your car is tuned or not. If it is stock I really don't think there is much of a difference, if it's tuned then it depends on the tuning, or on how rich the car is running. Naa, don't worry about this.

Make no mistake this exhaust system does NOT sound like a vacuum cleaner. I know what sound you are talking about. under throttle it is very nice you just have to hear it yourself to judge.
I agree 100%. This system has an amazing tone. Very little of the characteristic "raspiness" that you hear with so many other systems. You really have to hear it in person to appreciate how great it sounds.

There is no single best exhaust system since they are all different, but I would urge anyone interested to have an audition of Cargraphic. You could find some info here in my "review": http://www.rennteam.com/forum/thread...ust/page1.html
BTW, towards the end of the thread there's my review of GT3 vs. Turbo if anyone is interested.

No doubt it sounds much better, but it just doesn't get the chills on the spine, like i do when i listen to a GT3...

Finally got a drive in a GT3 (at *decent* speed and rpm, for a period of time through some canyons in LA, back to back with my Turbo). I could confidently say that in both loudness and character, the 2 exhaust systems of stock GT3 and Cargraphic Turbo sound surprisingly similar.
Out of cabin and going to max rpm, true, they don't sound the same. GT3 has a beautiful high frequency howl (like a wolf!) to its 8000+ rpm, somewhat similar to the beatiful Lambo song
. Turbo Cargraphic has more menacing low frequency at low rpm, and doesn't howl the same way as rpm climbs. Its character is more of a crackling, machine gun type sound. But in cabin, where it matters most, with respect to the 3 important parameters of exhaust sound evaluation, a. loudness, b. character, and c. frequency, the Turbo Cargraphic yields very little.Once the cabin & rearward pointing exhaust position have filtered out much of the exhaust sound, particularly the high frequency component, the 2 systems sound most-surprisingly similar. Both very sporty, loud, and fun. As mentioned, I don't work for Cargraphic and couldn't care less how much $ they make, just sharing something that's very special here.
