I was thinking maybe I should do some volunteer work for the local police.

Track Update
After a good pounding, the car ran very well. I did have slightly high oil temperatures for a few laps however I was on the bumper of another turbo had an impact on cooling. I do think if the PDK is going to be track driven, a different cooling system for the transmission is in order. We will be developing this in the near future.
<O
During all of the track sessions today, I had a data acquisition system hooked up to the car to log over 25 different engine functions. From a brief look, everything looks as it should and the car did not miss a beat all day long. The power was always constant and there was never a time where the power got flat. This is the same thing that I noticed on the dyno as well. No matter how hard I pushed it on the dyno, or on the track, the heat did not have much of an impact on power. The GT2 style intake manifold combined with some much improved intercoolers, direct injection and a free flowing exhaust all help to maintain constant power. I will be combing through the logs to see if there are any more improvements that can be made to the software at this stage.
<O
</O
<O
PDK on the track. I am still on the fence. I have never driven anything but a manual on the track. The first session I was VERY disconnected. After the second and third session I was more familiar with it and the quirks. There is some work that I need to do with the downshifting. The up shifts are perfect but the down shift delay is bad. If the downshifts were as crisp and as fast as the up shifts, it would be a winner. More work to do on that. I will try it for a few more sessions today and see if I can better at predicting what it will be doing on the downshifts.
<O
</O
<O
</O
Suspension: HA! Forget about it. That will be one of our next mods. I am NOT a fan of the PASM - never was. In sport mode the car has too much bump and skips too much. I don’t think having the car in sport mode helps much except for making the car ride rough. In reality, with a properly setup suspension, the car can handle street driving as well if not better than stock. On the track, it will also handle 100% better and I think be a more well balanced all around system. More developments on this very shortly.
<O
</O
<O
</O
There is a definite improvement with the dynamic engine mounts and TQ vectoring. The car turns in well but when she gets loose, she gets loose. I think there is a slightly longer threshold to push the car with this technology which makes the car feel more stable in hard cornering. <O

We will have some track videos posted later this weekend. Stay Tuned

We have the new car at the track today testing our software upgrade and seeing what this new car is made of. The first session was a bust because a car spun and hit the wall. More updates later. Here are some pictures from yesterdays exhaust bypass installation, dyno tests and pictures from the track this morning. What do you think of the new look?
I have never owned a black car before so this is what came to mind first. We were suppose to do the roof white with the big black numbers but we ran out of time.

Video time. Hunting down the blue smurf
Great day of testing and racing the 997.2TT. See my comments above. Here is a quick video of the EVOMS 997.2TT on the hunt for the Vivid racing 800 HP 997TT. It was all in good fun and Dan was a good sport afterwards. It was rumored that I pulled off the track to wait for the smurf 997TT, and I will say that that rumor was 100% CORRECT!

I needed a little more excitement so rattling the cage of a fellow Porsche owner with a car that is much more powerful with proper suspension was what I was looking for. Here is the first video that Parvin put together last night. Enjoy!

Thank you. I think I could have passed him but he pulled me on the straight 2 cars or so. Being on his bumper for 3 laps took its toll. It caused him to make a mistake and off he went. I would have liked for there to be a few laps with me in front to see the difference.

Hey!!!!!!!!!!! Your hands never came off the steering wheel, not fair
What pads were you running? I have the stock pads but running the Brembo 2pc Rotors. I could feel them mush up like when I went off. I did notice in your pics above you had some sticky tires. Which ones? I am switching to R888 shortly. Yeah it would have been nice if we had less traffic as the E36 held us up. Next time we will have to leave some room for us to battle. Whether this was EVO vs VR or just Todd and Dan, I had a great time man! Good Video!

The tires I ran were Toyo R888. They have good grip but almost too much for the stock suspension. Good fun. Next event I will have some better suspension. Either way it was good fun.
