boohaw1 is infamous around these parts
997 TT"S" or 998?

I have decided to purchase a TT. Not in that big a hurry.

I want to maximize the value of my purchase decision and buy a TT that won't be replced quickly by a new badge. With all the talk about the 2011 997 TT "S" and now the discussion around the 998TT, what a fellow to do?

Should I get the 2011 TT S or wait for the 998TT? All thoughts, observations and comments are welcomed. Just studying this and want balance to my thinking!

every year something new and better comes out. If you decide to wait all the time then you will be waiting forever.

Car is the worst investment there is, money wise. You have to listen to yourself and figure out what you want from your car. There will always be new cars and new models with lots of new things (you know, car industry uses more money to R&D than any industry in the world even more than medical industry).

At some point you just know this is for me and I'll stick with it to both optimize the loss of money and gained benefits for your well being. Latter must be greater then the first

+1

Get an early 997.1 for best bang for buck.

I personally would not buy a 997 this late in its lifecycle, although I had no problem buying a new one when they first came out.

If you're waiting for the next, best Turbo it's never gonna happen. There is always something newer and better around the corner.

You'll never do it if you keep waiting for a "better" one.
