Quote: I know my comments were a little broad and I've changed them. However, the point we are really trying to drive home is that we have performed a lot of R&D to develop these custom designs. They are not the off the shelf units that some of the members here have thought we were using.

We are currently installing a set onto Divexxtreme's GT2 and you will be able to see the results in the next couple of days.

very cool. can't wait to hear the results. It would be great to do IAT, dyno before and after IC install. The would be good research data.

+1 for TPC, or any vendor/tuner, who posts publicly their work, like this thread. Much appreciated and I always learned a lot with subsequent posts and questioning by other people.

By sheer popularity and the number of US pro's lurking, 6 speed is a tough place to be and the best IMO. Didn't happen if you didn't post on the "6"!

Here is an interesting finding...

Guy came in with an aftermarket exhaust and a mail order flash. Asked for only intercoolers(yes, I know the AF isnt perfect.) Interesting findings w/only intercoolers installed, nothing else was touched.

This dyno shows the intercoolers alone... No tuning. Simply strapped it down and ran it...

Not sure if I missed it, but has there been info posted on 997TT IAT's with and without the TPC/Proto 5" IC's?
Seeing as it was 112 degrees here in the desert the other day, I think I need to invest in IC's soon

Quote: I have no doubt that the TPC cores are very effective.

However (without creating a divergence in this thread), I'd simply like to mention that there are several tuners world wide that have custom developed IC cores designed for the 997TT platform. 9ff, RS, AWE, and few others come to mind. These cores are not clearly "off the shelf."

is this areospece company core?

Casey -- do you guys have a dyno overlay of
1) stock
2) flash/tune only
3) flash/tune and ICs

I'd be interested to see that chart.

those look like RS tuning cores. But not sure. As for aerospace company cores, just realize that there are many small manufacturing companies that do contract work for the aerospace industry, like making a small widget for
Boeing that goes on the wheel assembly of a 767, etc. I am more impressed if that company is making oil cooling systems for F1, etc.
