TTdude is right, put it in 5th/6th gear and start from a standstill, if it stalls the clutch is fine.

It's about the same as my neighbors GT3 RS.

It is a prett hard decision. There is definate performance benefit. There are unfortunately some "loud" downsides. How much does the noise bother you...as eclou had said...it's a little unbecoming for a street car. However, the quick revs and bark of my exhaust really puts a smile on my face.

+1. My ears have adapted and tuned out the flywheel chatter. All I hear is the sweet sound of the exhaust.

The chatter is greatly reduced with a sprung disc. I was really worried about it before I had it done but hardly notice it now. 100% worth it if you ask me.

Actually, I've driven in a Clutchmasters Stage 3 setup with a RS flywheel. It's actually about the same as what my setup sounds like.

The engagement point is nearly identical to the stock flywheel, which you know is pretty high compared to other vehicles. The engagement "range" is slightly shorter, but you can still modulate it to inch the car forward up a hill.

There are several that have them on the 996TT that use a clutch stop to make the travel length shorter.

That's the best I can do without having you drive my car (which you are welcome if you ever decide you like the snow )

I just looked on Porsche's PET catalog...the GT2 and Turbo share the same part number for the flywheel:

997 114 012 51

Bob

Can you tell if the part number for the clutch disk is different between 997.1 Turbo and 997.1 GT2

Reason is RUF in Dallas said they would use the GT2 Clutch with 752 PP, I asked for 764 PP and they said they could do that.
