Price Opinion on CPO 07 TT
Price Opinion on CPO 07 TT
I am very intested on one of the CPO 2007 Turbos from Momentum Porsche. Opinions and what price is reasonable? My upper limit is not to exceed $90k including shipping + taxes.

Momentum only lists 4 '07 997tt's and none of them exceed $90k. Your choices now come down to mileage, color, and options. All 4 are 6spd.
I just noticed you list 'bay area' and I am assuming that would be SFO. There's a ton of CA dealers that have good cars at right prices. Heck of a lot less travel to see a car. JMO.

Those cars looked very nicely priced . Whoever priced them . clearly understands the market but a nice price and a CPO is still only a partial picture . A DME scan to detect over rev history , an in person inspection and test drive are needed on a purchase of any used car.
I even feel that on the test drive it's very easy to get so charmed by the car that things are overlooked . Try every button , look at the rear tires to see if they are worn , look at the details of the car -- and ask questions .
Good luck.

Yes, I am in the SF Bay area. I have been looking at all over CA but I feel that the local dealerships are priced a little high. This has caused me to look outside of the state but I was not sure if this is wise. Since work/family obligations do not allow me to travel, I wanted to check with the forums on whether those CPO TT are worth the trouble of shipping.
Thanks for the link. In the end, I think the 6speeders concluded do not buy from them. Since I plan on buying it sight unseen, I will take this advice.
good choice, i bought mine sight unseen, no issues with the car, just the dealer

There are 3 Turbos at the Porsche dealer in Newport Beach, CA. One is 2007, black, 6 speed, 7600 miles. 2 others are 2008, both tiptronic, one GT silver/black, 11,000 miles and other is black/black, 1800 miles. ALL ARE CERTIFIED CPO cars! If you are interested, I would be happy to go look at them in detail for you. I bought cars from this dealer before. I live in Laguna Beach, right down the road. Feel free to call me if you want. In this economy, I am sure they would deal

even in the bay area i would suggest that asking prices are only that....actual trading prices tend to be where the market is regardless. dealers will often ask a high price hoping to get a buyer to pay a high price, but at the end of the day they need to sell cars. knowing where the market is becomes really important in this economy....i've seen turbos at stead in walnut creek where the asking price is at least $10k above market, and the cars just sit there....as others have said, my guess is guys will deal.

It has been a little frustrating working with Bay Area dealers. Just yesterday, I made an offer on a low mileage 5k 07 noncertified TT (basic)and they turned it down. They said they sold the car yesterday for close to their asking price of $91k. I just want a quick deal on a great condition car.
