Convertible top care

I've never had a convertible. My cab is arriving in a couple weeks. What products are recommended for cleaning the top? In addition to cleaning it, what else? For example, do I need to do any conditioning/protecting? Any tips/techniques? Thanks.

First of all, congrats! I've been following your turbo cab order, so I am looking forward to seeing it. I use Raggtop products. Checkout the detailing section. A great how-to video is on the detailersdomain.com website. I followed it to the letter and my top looks better than new! Good luck waiting and sleeping until then!!!!!

Do you use both the RAGGTOPP Fabric/Vinyl Cleaner and RAGGTOPP Fabric Protectant?

Thanks for the info. Has anyone tried 303 Protectant - High Tech Fabric Guard? I assume the tops are fabric, is this correct?

Porsche also has a top cleaner and a top protectant. I purchased both, but have not used them yet.

spray the protectant every 6-12 months when top is clean and dry.

wash it often with regular car wash. never scrub into the fabric. use a very soft brush if needed. always get any sap, dirt or bird dropping off as soon as you see it.

use a pet hair lint roller from costco to keep the top dust and lint free.

avoid parking outdoors for extended time (days and weeks) when weather is bad (rain or hot day). get a car cover if you have to park outside for days.
