My base 3.6 997.2 smokes heavily under hard acceleration. Under normal driving it is fine but if I nail the pedal and the rpms rise a huge plume of smoke is spewed by my exhaust. This cannot possibly be normal. My 07' did not do this. Can anyone else let me know if this is happening to them? Any ideas what this could be?

 

No idae, nothing good thoug.GL. Should be a warranty situation at least.

 

what color is the smoke? does it have a blue tinge?

 

Any abnormal sounds coming from the engine?

 

I thought that 997.2 has 3.8???

 

I think the OP has a base Carrera and has posted in this section by mistake.

I think he just got it wrong. And since it's an '09 and he says it's a 997.2 it doesn't sound like a TT either.
