Any thoughts on whether putting headers on a 997 TT really make any difference? Any HP gain? Anything noticeable, and worth the effort?

Also, does anyone know if putting headers on to replace the stock ones will void the warranty?

There are HP claims for all of them but I did Fabspeed headers because they look and sound good.

I sat down with the dealer to map out what I could and could not do to keep the warranty intact. I also had the dealer put them on because a good dealer relationship is important. Anything goes wrong, there's no finger pointing.

 

I used a set of Agency Power headers with stock exhaust and they did make the exhaust note noticeably deeper. You won't feel the difference in HP as it will be slight (if any) on stock or mildly modified car. Happy motoring!

Typically on "stage 1" or "stage 2" setups, you won't see any benefit from headers, other then a slight change in exhaust note. Once you get to the 650+ hp level, however, they become a integral part of the system, and their importance become a little more apparent.

If you're having trouble deciding what sequence of mods to start with, feel free to give me a call. I talk to a lot of people in the same boat on a daily basis, and if nothing else, at least you can get a good idea of what's out there, and which mods are worth it and which aren't.

 

The performance difference is minimal unless your car is making some serious HP. Like over 650hp. I replaced mine for the raspier exhaust note.
