Reducing throttle response....

Believe it or not, I'd like to reduce my throttle response, especially when sport mode is engaged.

I find I drive more on regular mode because I like the normal mode throttle response better. I find it easy to make smooth take offs and shifts.

I also wanted an evo stage II program but when I found out the throttle gets even more sensitive, I wrote that option off.

I have asked this question before but not for a while. So I wonder, is there a program or part to reduce throttle response? My ideal situation would be normal throttle response in sport mode.

David - when you flash your car, you can maybe have them tweak your throttle response. EVOMS may be able to help with this. Talk to Todd at EVOMS.

Softronic can increase or reduce your response at any percentage you could ask for. Would you like 110 % or a reduction of 10% from stock? Perhaps 99.91%? Whatever it may be Softronic has and uses the latest technologies from the company that made the original software for your car. Rev limiter set for 7200,7205 or any other number..... etc.

Best Regards,
Softronic

That is nice to hear. So let me ask you...can sport mode stock throttle response be made to be the same as normal mode throttle response? That is, no difference between the two setting in regards to throttle settings.

Hello,

Yes it can be done yet never asked for. Simply the map switch for the increase can be turned off in the DME.

Best,

I have Softronic tune and it is amazing.
Pulls like a freight train in both the standard(I5 psi) and sport mode (18+ psi)
I did not request reduced throttle response in sport mode.
I like the throttle response in sport mode as it came with the tune, very aggressive.

Interesting point. I wonder if the software upgrades would take care of that.
