From 3.8 GT3 to 997 GT2

Hi,

I've got a friend who has a Mk2 997 GT3, but now he wants to get a Mk1 GT2. Now the question is: are there any Problems with the 997 GT2, or just little things that tend to go bad? The car will pretty much be used as a do-it-all vehicle. From DD to Track Car. Any other comments regarding the transition from the GT3 to the GT2?

Any help / comment is appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

I have both. There isn't anything wrong with the GT2. Besides being fast and easily modded. These 2 cars are not the same. Just can't be compared. GT2 is probably best of both worlds, because it is a track beast and a street beast. For all out fun driving, you can NEVER touch a GT3. Most people, including GT2 owners, will never go back once they drive a GT3.

If you want a do it all car, the GT2 is very hard to beat. In fact, a modded TT is tough to beat. The GT3 is a great car if your routes are smooth surfaces and without steep ramps and entrances. If you are in a more urban area, the Gt3 can be an unforgiving ride. I felt like my fillings would get knocked loose in my 07 Gt3 when driving in Houston, so I opted to keep my TT over the Gt3
