Actually I meant why even bother with an automatic turbo? The value of them are dropping heavily with the PDKs release and the 6speed is so much fun to drive. I personally don't have an issue with autos and bet there are several owners happy with the auto but if your set on non manuals I would give the pdk a try.

 

Only one problem.. a new 997.2 turbo (with PDK) will cost twice as much when compared to a CPO'ed 997.1 turbo w/ tiptronic. You cannot over rev with PDK. It will not let you do that.

 

Yeah the price doesn't help with making the right decision. If I could afford a pdk I would be all over it but will probably wait a few years until they are in the low $100's. Back to op question dme scan not needed but is there a reason why not consider 6 speed?

 

Keeping the wife happy is always a good thing. My other half hates when she has to drive (when I had a lil too much to drink) due to it being lowered and manual so I guess there are pro and cons. GL with ur search
