I LOVE the guards red but you're right...it is an attention getter and that's something to consider. I am more into the darker colors just to "lay low" if there is such a thing.

Saw one with beige interior the other day. Think was so refreshing after all the silvers, black and greys.I would do it. Good luck

 

I've owned 3 red 911s over the years. Great color and very likely to be the color of my next Turbo when the 99? arrives. Go for it.

 

Guards is one of the most beautiful reds you will ever see on a car. But then the Porsche looks good in almost any color.

 

I was in the exact same boat as you when I purchased my Red turbo after selling my Black turbo and all that talk about tickets, cops, attention.... isn't true at all. This was my first red car ever and to be honest its probably one of the nicest cars I've ever owned simply due to the color (i've always been a white or black type of car). With the Porsche the red also highlights the curves of the car and gives it that "exotic" look so + all around for red. My top 2 choices for the Turbo would be white or red as you can see:

I've got an '02 E46 M3 in Imola red. I've had no speeding tickets from a human being (photo to be excluded). Look around at all the red cars on the road the next time you go out. There are too many to stand out, unless you've got a Turbo.

Red is a pretty popular color for cars, so it won't stand out as Redmist said. And I don't think cops go for colors, it's the speed that get you! So I wouldn't worry, go for red if you want it!

 

Wow. I always thought I didnt like the Guards Red. That is stunning. Is that a poster? I would love to have one of those in my garage.

I just ordered a Turbo S Cab. If I would have seen that photo I might have went with the Red with the Natural Brown leather.
