Wheels on red turbo?

Wheels on red turbo?
Ok, im more looking for pictures here if anyone has them.
I'm contemplating between two ideas. One would be the 'classic' look of something like HRE 590's with a polished lip and a brushed inner.
The other would be a monoblock like the P40 in gloss or matte black.
Never had black wheels, so I don't know if they get rock chips easily, how to even clean the matte finish wheels, etc. Black makes more of a statement, though.
Anyone have any pictures of a porsche with the above specs?

Here is one we did a while back http://www.wheelsboutique.com/custom...hicle_key=1556
The Matt Black is very smooth finish that's easy to clean and holds up very well against chips as they are powder coated. The 590R will offer up an aggressive look with the deep lip in the rear. There are few images in our gallery and on this forum of Porsche with both 590R & P40. Let me know if I can help you in any way.

valex,
PM directly or search forum for posts by "vic55" (??) and SoCalCFP. I think they both have red turbo with black HRE wheels. vic55 has P40 gloss black I think.
Recent thread: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...g-trouble.html
Pics here also, clicks on "guards red" cars: http://www.wheelenhancement.com/inde...lDetail&id=204
Monoblock vs. multi-piece wheel: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...7-turbo-6.html
Good luck and have fun.

IMO, black does not do justice to the P40's. The wheels are so exceptional that they shouldn't be minimized by the black color. Cannga's car looks the best with the silver finish. As soon as I have a spare $5000 I'm getting some P40 18's in silver.

I'm biased to the Matte Black look but I think it really depends what else you are doing with the car. I had the p40's originally and now have the ADV's (listed in the FS forum if you are interested).

Totally agree. The wheels on Can's car compliment Guards Red wonderfully. I have Dymags and the carbon barrel on the wheel, from a distance, makes the car look like the tires have very high sidewalls because it blends with the tire. A black rim makes the high side wall look even more extreme. If you do the red stripe on the rims as in C4SxM5's pictures it eliminates the high side wall look. Just my opinion.

Stunning look! I was pondering these w/ a yellow pinstripe for my black/black.

I did Satin Black Champion Motorsports RS171’s on my car. Flat black always looks dirty to me and Glossy Black tends to looked Armor-All’d and too slick.... Again it really depends on what look or theme you are going after. Satin silver is very classy as well.
My rims are 18 months old with 8K miles on them...a few minor chips...nothing a Sharpie can’t fix. Although I do wonder how they will look after a few years or 50K miles if I keep the car that long....

Oh, one more thing to consider...you live in Michigan? Sand and salt (if they still use it back there) will definitely kill black wheels...go with silver/polished so you can do quick touch-ups yourself...unless you only plan on driving your car in July and Aug : ) I’m originally from Wisco...the seasons are hard on nice vehicles and motorcycles...

if you have ceramic brakes, definetly do the yellow. if these weren't red pin stripe i would probably let my lil bro use them with his turbo.
